🧾 Step-by-Step: How AskMandla Works

1. Sign up via WhatsApp

You can start by filling in this form. We'll guide you through a few simple questions to create your profile.

👥 Employer or employee can start the process

2. Create the employment agreement

We generate a legally compliant contract based on your answers.

Customised to your worker’s role (nanny, cleaner, gardener, etc.)
Includes working hours, pay rate, duties, and leave
Sent to both parties via WhatsApp for review and signature

3. Get registered for UIF (optional, but recommended)

If you’re not yet registered, we help you:

Register as an employer with the Department of Labour
Submit your domestic worker’s UIF information
Ensure compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA)

4. Top up your wallet & make payment

At the start of each month, we’ll send you an invoice that includes:

Your domestic worker’s salary
UIF and other deductions
The AskMandla subscription fee

You pay via EFT or card. We handle the rest.

5. We pay your worker

At the end of the month:

Your domestic worker receives their salary via EFT
They get a payslip showing their earnings, leave, and deductions
Both employer and employee have access to all documents via WhatsApp

6. Ongoing support

Each month, we help you:

Track attendance and leave
Handle sick notes, maternity leave, and warnings
Generate payslips and maintain records
