Can I pause or cancel my AskMandla service?
Yes, and here’s what happens when you do.
✅ You’re always in control
You can pause or cancel your AskMandla subscription at any time. There are no contracts, penalties, or hidden fees.
But before you go, here’s what you need to know about what happens next, especially for your employee’s salary, UIF, and payslips.
🛑 What happens when you cancel
Once you cancel or stop payment:

Your employee will no longer receive a payslip

UIF will no longer be filed on your behalf

Leave and warnings will no longer be tracked

AskMandla will not process the salary payment at month-end

Your WhatsApp access to documents and reminders will be limited
🧾 We’ll send you a final payslip for the current month (if it was already paid for).
🔒 Do I lose all my records?
No. We keep your records securely stored, including contracts, payslips, and leave history.
You can:

Request access to past documents at any time

Reactivate your account later and continue where you left off
Your employee’s information will also be stored in case they work for you again or move to another employer on AskMandla.
🕒 Can I pause instead of cancelling?
Yes! You can message us via WhatsApp and say:
“Pause my subscription”
This is useful if:

Your employee is away for more than a month

You’re going on holiday

You’re between workers but don’t want to lose your setup
During a pause:

We don’t generate payslips

You don’t get billed
-
All your data stays in place
🔄 How do I restart later?
Just message us again:
“Restart my subscription”
We’ll pick up where we left off, with the same employee profile, leave balances, UIF details, and contract.
⚠️ Things to keep in mind

You are still legally responsible for UIF and record-keeping, even if AskMandla isn’t managing it for you

Your employee may no longer have proof of income or employment

If UIF is not submitted during your pause/cancellation, your employee’s claim history may be affected
